Phlox
You can easily recognise the plox by its star-shaped flowers. This flower also fits easily into a garden border. Phlox usually comes in shades of pink, purple and white. Here, the heart of the flower often has a contrasting colour. The word phlox comes from the Greek and means flame, which is why in the Netherlands it is also known as the flame flower.
